About us?
Carry Hope Naloxone is an Austin-based nonprofit dedicated to preventing overdoses and saving lives by providing free access to Narcan (naloxone) and practical education. We work across schools, communities, and local organizations to ensure people are not only equipped with life-saving medication, but also understand how to recognize and respond to an overdose. Our efforts focus on removing barriers, increasing awareness, and making these resources accessible to anyone who may need them. By meeting people where they are and building real relationships within the community, we aim to create a safer environment where more lives can be protected and saved.
How we work
We operate through a combination of direct outreach, strategic partnerships, and hands-on education. Our team distributes free Narcan to schools, community members, and organizations, ensuring it reaches the people and places where it is needed most. Alongside distribution, we provide training on overdose recognition, Narcan administration, and emergency response so individuals feel confident taking action in critical moments. We collaborate closely with school districts, police departments, and community partners to expand our reach and create long-term impact. By combining access, education, and partnership, we build a system where more people are prepared, more resources are available, and more lives can be saved.
